I dont think i am, I dont feel i am... But still somtimes i wonder you know... Most goths i come accross are too young for me, or is it i'm too old for them? lol! Anyway, for a single man to be goth certainly means a lot less fish in the sea. But i dont want to stop or dress in jeans or tracky daks and sneakers to be more appealing to 'normal' women. Goth sure frightens a lot away! Maybe it coz the goth scene here is sooooo small.

its really funny, ive alsways used dark make-up dressed in black way before they called it goth, i just turned 42 on Oct 19th and i still get carded lol im in pretty good shape so i can still wear go-gi boots, manson boots mini skirts, fetish wear exc...so i think men and woman as they get grey/ distinguished lines... i think they can still be goth, just dress more appropriate, maybe for the men on the formal side, women long black or dark earth tone dresses and still wear their make-up as usual! Anyone in here like zentai?

No one is too old to be a goth. Look at Ozzy, he probably 60+ and he is a goth. Besides, you are a good looking man, like you picture.

I think your looking quite good man. I wouldn't worry about being "too old". I'd be more worried about how its presented and even that is a bit trivial. Just be you :D

To old for goth? Not until you feel it. Keep in mind old is always 20 years older then whatever you are. I know what you mean though, here where I am at the goth scene is very small, and I am at thirty pretty much about 10-15 years older then anyone else in it. Makes it a little rough. But I think that even should we choose to dress in normal clothes and tennies that we would still be goth through our thoughs and actions. I always found it not so much a look as a feel. So nope never to old!

No, never too old, young goths...or the children as I like to call them are nicknamed Baby bats, so that makes us more mature goths...Old Bats...lol

I like older Goths. The older the better. I do not like playing the drama game which I have seen enough of in DC/NOVA area. Love those people but lets get real. And it seems that the younger the goths are the more drama that comes into their life. Poor babies. I, myself, have I cherished livestyle, I have grown up in the country. Where there was only one freaky person and that was me. And they accepted me; with love. Now, I live in the country, another part, and they too accept me with love. Don't try to be something you are not, just be...

Frightening people away with one's dress sense is a good thing. It saves having to tell judgemental people to remove themselves from our presence at some future point. Obviously, it's not a foolproof plan... I mean, check out some of the judgemental fools on GM, but it narrows down the field a fair bit.

I never even considered the question. My opinion is even if you've been dead in the grave for centuries-you're not too old for goth!

I don't think you can ever be too old for a way of life. Sure, some people are intimidated by the style of dress that most goths wear, but there are still women out there who prefer that look to any other. There are a lot of women who are inticed by the way that goth men look. Keep your head up, doll! There IS someone for you out there! take care darlin

Yeah. Idiot. How are we supposed to know if you don't tell your age. And goth is a state of mind. Not a number.

TOO OLD? i don't think you can be too old for anything....there are those times when people should stop trying to wear those favorite pair of tight pants (haha) but- NAH! i believe goth is both a personality and fashion thing- but its one that can fit for a lot of people! so yea- defiantly not too old. :) hell- i'l even comment on the fact that your a pretty good-looking 43 year old goth. hm...here's a new theory....goth makes things look better- hahaha....hm...i leave you with that- im gonna go ponder on this more...:D

Being I'm in the same boat do what I do when I go to the clubs: 1.Wear the good toupee 2.Leave the assless chaps for another occassion 3.Never use the minivan as the going out transportation Brother there are too many young uns but there are several "Women" here too. Either raise the age limit of what you're looking for or keep looking for an "old soul" Best wishes. -Noodles
