Basically, right now I'm between obligations. I have no outside forces (other than really a breakable lease) keeping me where I am. Now, I've been somewhat dissatisfied with the current city I live in, and was thinking about moving.

So, basically, I would really like to live somewhere that can get very cold (most of my childhood was spent freezing in MN - great fun!) with snow at least in winter. I also really wouldn't mind being somewhere with a "scene" (not trying to drag down the topic already, but it's been a good two years since I've been around my cultural kin) and also don't mind the city. It would prolly have to be a biggish city, since I really sleep much better when the sun is up, and nocturnal jobs are hard to find in small towns, not to mention that a larger city would prolly have actually interesting shopping and clubbing options along my tastes.

Actually, a very real option to me is Chicago. I've never been, but it is prolly the closest large city, and I have heard something about it having a "scene."

Any thoughts/suggestions/etc?

Ive heard Chicago is nice and hace all you mentioned.

Another one is NY but is more chaotic though so probably Chicago is the better option.
