There are many beautiful cars out there.  Like many men (and maybe some women), I get a little giddy, a little dizzy, a ticklish sort of feeling that runs through my body when I look at a beautiful automobile, motorcycles included, with visions of me cruising over land of all sorts, all chill and super cool...ok, maybe even with a touch of "more holier than thou"--I admit.

Nevermind that I've settled on a big Tacoma as my next vehicle (although a motorcycle has been serious consideration lately), if I could, on my hard earned nurses wage, this would be my car ultimate:

Rolls-Royce Phantom I Jonckheere Coup

A girl can dream.

Whadaya think?

(Adding: I'm all stupid excited for Christmas...I can't get excited until a few days before, after all my gifts have come together and are wrapped and the 'phews are shaking them for the sweeeeet, sweet ring of Legos.  Merry Christmas and all that to all of the Christians and us non-Christians!  Hope you're able to spend it with people you love...and even if we don't have a vintage Rolls in our garage/hanger, that we don't lose sight of the things that matter.

Forever, Levi.)

Agreed, man, after I saw From Dusk Til Dawn I liked the model. Maybe it featured in a vamp film made it a bit goth to me. I had a great car for awhile, the beast that broke down that needed repairs. Its now gone. So now once again without wheels, trying to decide on next car. Most likely a reliable one, smallish, or a motorcycle.

Nothing like the rumble of a V8, has to be one of my favourite engine noises. I can just imagine scaring the hell out of people in the little streets of Britain roaring past with a V8.

It's a sound you just don't hear in the Uk, it's usually boy racers in their small hatchbacks with giant fart can exhausts on them. You know the sort, so much noise yet they don't actually go anywhere.

I have a 1.4 litre 4 cylinder Ford fiesta so it's not quite the imposing kick ass ride of my dreams lol :D

I do like classics over modern for just pure style. Modern cars although practical and more reliable just don't have the same character as classics do.

A car from Britain that did come with a small V8 which I love is this Rover P5, one of these in black would be awesome. The Queen owned a few of them so it must be good.

Holy fuck, that is a beautiful car.  Driving that you'd surely end up having sinister rich English men in dapper dress, top hats and curled moustaches chasing after you.  And possibly Mutley too.  Very very cool, I want it too!

Dream car, it's been a while, there were a few classic's of a similar style to the one above, but that's just too cool at the moment.  I might be getting my first car in a few months though, a Ford Falcon Stationwagon.  Oh yeah, classy classy car. :)  Though for someone from the UK, having a 4l straight six engined first car is pretty rare these days.

i'm excited for you about your first car, dt!  do you have any road trips planned yet?
