Yep im here in scotland finally after what seems like a month.im sitting under 3 duvets with assorted pets and a huge cup of tea trying to keep warm as i type this....brrrrrrr. indigo you would have got straight back on the plane....its minus 5.
as soon as i stepped outside the airport terminal building at glasgow it started snowing...the first snow of the year and it was already thick on the ground. Id forgotten what the kind of cold that gnaws at your bones feels like. when my dad came to pick me up he laughed as i was trying to drag everything out of my suitcase so i could wear it all at once.....Its kind of nice being in the snow. might go and make a snow creature later! had a bit of a snowball fight with my sister. she cracked me a good one right on the head....thats the first snowball in 10 years to crack my skull.There are heaps of cute little robins hanging around the birdtable in the backyard....and the winter trees with no leaves.
china was weird. it was great to see my old pal though. took in a few sights, ate a lot of very nice chinese food and god awful wine. i didnt know the chinese made wine. it tasted like a cross between squirrel piss and radioactive swamp water. i tried several different labels just to verify this.
i spent uch of my time being openly laughed at by the chinese. they point, they gawp, they laugh, they bring their friends along and they gawp and laugh and point too.....luckily my friend has learned a fair bit of chinese......so wed let them say stuff, then hed speak to them in chinese and theyd run off.....weird.....and oh so rude! then again we did stick out like a sore thumb!

i was just chatting to indigo and weve decided to have an aussie meet up right here in sunny melbourne. We were thinking wed meet at a pub in fitzroy and have a few pints and a bit of dinner......with optional post dinner fanatical moshpit pogoing for the more adventurous among us? Do you scare yourself when you wake up first thing in the morning when you look in the bathroom mirror? Especially when youve had a night out on the town the night before?
Im challanging all of you gm bloggers to post a morning after the night before photo......an armageddon of eyeliner, bad bad beadhead, waking up in your sombrero with your chihuahuas laughing at you......waking up in a closet with coats piled on top of you, wandering around the kitchen in your holey grey undies with beadhead eating toast.....one of you from the 80s with a permed mullet and speedos! I know youre all creative enough to produce a very scarey looking morning photo and i look forward to seeing them.
The criteria are
1.you have to post the pic yourself and give us a brief story
2. It has to be funny
3. It has to be posted by the 12th of december
the prize.....
An in depth tarot reading and a beer from me either in person if youre in melbourne or glasgow or via email with a photo of an icey cold beer that i will enjoy on your behalf!
Noodles won the competition with his captain america outfit last year and was happy with the resulting prize.

Hello to you all!
Lots has happened in the last few months since i blogged on here.
Met up with trouble in melbourne for a few beers....nice to meet you trouble...
Deep tranquility is coming to visit a few of us folks here in melbourne for a bit of mayhem in sunny december.....looking foreward to showing him around town and introducing him to a few koalas.......so any melbournians interested in forming a welcoming commitee...please make yourself known.
Going on the melbourne zombie shuffle on the 30/10....should be a laugh!
Also planning a big trip in december to beijing, paris, london, glasgow, ireland, berlin and hamburg...in december and january......really looking foreward to that!
Also got a new zealand reunion trip planned with my crazy old sydney housemates from 10yrs ago.
So thats my news.....not sure if many people remember me here but i just thought id say hi anyway...

My wee doggy twiglet died at 2pm on the 28th feb. She was an old gal....14..and she had a very happy wee life. Im so sad that shes no longer with us. We had such a special relationship. Ive been crying spolidly for the last 6 days and i had to take a week off work. My family are in scotland so my dog was like family to me. Shed been quite sick for a while with diabetes.ive spent so much time looking after her that, now shes gone i dont know what to do with myself.

You may or may not be aware that a huge chunk of queensland, northern victoria and northern new south wales have suffered badly with recent flooding.The disaster is on an even bigger scale than the black saturday bushfires. Much of brisbane is like waterworld.The mess and destruction is unreal.
i just posted this to make sure all our wee pals in queensland are ok and that theyre not suffering too much. my thoughts are with you!

i watched a really gross weird czech film the other night about taxidermy,self taxidermy sport eating, vomiting and turning human fetuses into keyrings. if you like beyond weird check out taxidermia (its garunteed to put you off soup for a while)

well ive gone and got myself into another fine mess.
A chick from work is organising a fundraiser for the local adult learning centre which teaches adults with learning difficulties and is mainly attended by people with downs syndrome.
she is having a garden party on melbourne cup day and wants me to read the tarot cards to raise cash. I agreed to do this without really thinking about it cause there will be a nice free lunch and the champagne will be flowing. Theyve also kindly agreed to let me have a nice dark shadey corner to while away the afternoon.
She then dropped a big clanger on me last week.she wants me to read the tarot for the people who work in the centre who have learning difficulties. WTF am i gonna tell them? they stick lipsticks on magazines for a living.The chick who i am doing it for has had a tracking device fitted in her sons rucksack so they can find him when he gets lost going the 2 miles on the work disabled bus. last time i met him he threw his dinner at me.
what do i do fellow GMers?

ok, a few months ago i met a very very handsome boy . we never actually got it together for a million reasons....mainly because i was very busy and had my folks as house guests for 4 months....and so i tried to forget about him!
well i was working in recovery the other day (the place where people get wheeled out to after operations.....and there he was unconscious with a big tube sticking out of his throat) what does one do?He did not tell me he was coming to have surgery.an odd venue
. my legs were like jelly. He knew id been there because he sent me a text later on!
what should i do you guys?

Its a bit weird being offline all the time...things happen out there! I think ive fineally overcome my internet dependancy.
i have quite a lot of little projects on the go at the moment. My mum and dad are over from scotland. So ive been running around melbourne and other places with them.
im renovating the house and its finally starting to look less derelict!
Ive just spent the last week off sick as ive done my achilles tendon in.
Ive been hobbling around lots to gigs and ive rediscovered the immense joy of reading words off paper pages ....books are soo tactile. im reading samuel shems 'house of god" at the moment which is very funny.
i bought a new oracle which looked promising at the time which is dedicated to ravens....i have this funny thing with ravens...its a kind of mutual fascination....i fell like they follow me around!
spent christmas in my mates veggie garden and got very pissed on lethal homebrew....he got facepaints for christmas....i woke up on the couch the next day with a very sore head and i was covered in orange and blue rings drawn all over me from head to toe...i thought id contracted some weird lurgy..
still havent got my puter fixed....miss you all my wee bloggy pals

ive had a weird weekend. ive been to a garden party with trophy wives, got very pissed, saw the peter greenaway exhibition in town...watched a bunch of people on very long bendy poles playing the bells..............and.... while weaving up the alley at three in the morning i found a unicorns head on a stick......oh yep and when i met my friend he was covered in worm juice....eeeee pongy. a strange but full on weekend!

My computer blew up....well thats an exageration.....it quietly died about 2 months ago.So i havent been online for bloody ages!So ive had to find other things to do appart from being an internet junkie.Ive actually been going out to heaps of bands and gallery openings and ive done a couple of smashing roadtrips.i also have a new love interest who is very cute even though he is somewhat younger than me.
ravenmad....it was good to finally meet you in byron bay even though i practically had to swim to the pub.
so i start my new job on monday. im looking for a house in brunswick....which will be great!
planning another trip away at christmas
twiglet is still pretty poorly...poor wee doggy
im off to see mammal with indigo on friday.....should be good
i just thought id drop by and say hi.

Yep its holiday time again! The wandering gypsy in me is dragging me away from home yet again! ive booked a trailer for a week in byron bay...sheer bliss.im going to drink beer, dip my toes in the warm ocean, do a bit of drawing and writing and a bit of the other!!!:) whooooppppeeeee i canny wait

i have got a mate who used to live in a small australian country town! himself and his mate were sitting around most of the time and used to get up to all kinds of mischeif to keep themselves amused! one day they decided to go and pick some crispy roadkill off the road and take it back to their humble bush clinic x ray and x ray it! now they have a collection of weird animal skeletons on x rays stuck to their window........how full on is that!

Yeh the death toll is over 200 now! ive been hearing heaps of bad stories at work about the bush fires. I had a patient who went to save his elderly mum and dad from the burning house next door and left his puppies and kitty cats at home, while his wife waited in the car. By the time he got to the other house his parents were jammed inside and burnt to death. When he got back to the house his animals were toast too......he was hysterical!
i also heard about a poor guy who was brought into emergency with burns and hed lost his wife and didnt know where she was. They all died in the fire.
We had one patients wife whos family had lost everything and theyd just retired. She was standing beating her head off the banister at work!
another 92 year old lady crawled from her listed building house and up to her dam with her equally ancient pup.They had to submerge themselves under the water for 15 hours to save themselves from getting burned to death!shes ended up in a nursing home and has lost everything including the house she was born in!
Whole small country towns have been devestated. Over 230 people have lost their lives so far and they havent even begun to look for bodies yet!
Thats just the tip of the iceberg! There have been heaps of them this week. What do you say to somebody whos lost everything dear
To think a LOT of these fires were started by idiots who do stupid things like flick burning fag butts out of their car windows or use power tools that throw off sparks when there is a total fire ban!
its very upsetting!
