In caveman times Rape and Murder was just away of life, some theories may suggest we still have such drives still written in our us today. The subconscious desire to have sex with your friends girlfriend because you want to defeat his sperm. The subconcious desire to breed with a younger female because she as stronger child bearing factors. As a male the subconscious desire to spread your spern anywhere and everywhere. As a female the subconcious desire to find the alpha male who makes you feel safe and secure. I know this is all very dark. But fear not we evolved.
What came was a structure called the cerebral cortex. The Cerebral cortex allows us to learn more easily. To think and to rationalize. The orbital cortex which allows us to gain control of our impulses and urges. Telling us what we can act on and what we can not act on.
As I have said before the subconscious mind is under the surface. It makes up 88percent of your brain. Its bigger and vastly more powerful than your conscious mind. The subconcious is picking things up your not picking up consciously its vastly more powerful and as the ability to run multiple programs at once. EG once you learn to drive you can get in your car, listen and sing to your music, do your hair, talk to your friend on your mobile, not having to worry about driving your car because your doing this autopilot due to your wonderful subconcious mind.
The subconcious mind also doesnt know the difference between a real and imagined memory. And an image or a film and reality. This is how the process of desensitizion tends to come about. A Violent image at first may rouse an emotional response, after a few times it causes the subconcious to bring up no emotional respoonse. Thus we have become numb.
Also think of advertsing. Sex is every where now. Magazines, television, every where. Is it no wonder that at the age of 12 many have lost there virginity. Yes the media is making us more violent sexual creatures. Numbing us to all the violence which is in the world, in the same respect we are to busy occupied and brainwashed about buying the latest gadget and going out and getting laid. Increasingly numb, increasinly more violent, increasingly more sexual. And the internet may well be one of the biggest devils in causing this problem. As sexual and violent imagery can be obtained by a mere click.
One proccess used is known as anchoring. You see the sex girl selling the car. Thus you get aroused. Everytime you get aroused you will subconciously associate cars with sexual urges. The same can be done with the sexy girl and a hamburger. Everytime you become aroused you have the desire to want to get an hamburger. Thus advertising using two instinctual urges and putting them together.
You think you control your mind? Hmmmm, Do you really? Some intresting research with brainscans says we make a decision six seconds before we are consciously aware of them, in the subconcious. Think of the applications of such information for the mind control brainwasher?
