Not quite have an old friend who up to about 5 days ago I watched her go from sweet, boring mother of a toddler to raving drunk partying in Chicago in a wild fit of angst and rebellion while leaving her baby and husband...She had been quite a party girl over the years untill she decided to stop the lifestyle and concentrate on more than a bottle of Jack Daniels and a pack of Malboro reds.
I had wished her well but wondered how she would do it going "Cold Turkey." She had fooled everyone even herself for almost 2 years...But I figured the pressure built up until she exploded...It was probably a relapse like some of us here have had with some sort of addiction be it drugs, alcohol, gambling or even sex.
Been there done that...So just watched as EVERYONE already knows when they're fucking up and no one needs ANOTHER person trying to stop them from doing what they already know is wrong...In the end the only way a person changes is ONLY AFTER they crash and burn.
Pain is indeed the best teacher...So taking all this drama in front of me it reminded me that I need to try to keep things mellow vut never try to be someone I'm not because just like my friend that will only cause pressure to build up until one day everything goes bad...And I don't want that...I just want what everyone else wants and that's to be happy...And NO it doesn't involve midgets, strippers and coke...That's more of a Xmas thing.
