Chatting with my Inmate Clerk yesterday talking about the "Butterfly/Karma Effect." Now he's in for murder of two guys...Story went like this:
He finds out a Filipino low level embassy employee who smuggles heroin, he tells two muscle guys where the guy will be and to go rob him, the guys he sends kill the smuggler and his wife, then shoot my clerk in the head when he goes to pick up his part, he survives and goes out finds them and kills them...BUT he gets caugh and BAM 28 years to life.
Do I feel sorry for any of the players in this Divine Comedy?...Nope...Drug dealers, trophy wife, muscle goons, robbery planner/murderer...Now that is an extreame case.
However, cases like this in big or small ways are part of ALL of us...It's a Road Less Taken Scenario...Here on Gm it's usually the met some guy/girl here fell for them and I ignored the signs and he/she fucked me over...Some get fucked worse than others, some here are pregnant from losers, being stalked by, abused or cheated on...For others it was just a bad time.
Of course the heart makes "Hope spring eternal" and we always go to things with an open heart BUT I honestly do think we ALL ignore the raging signs due to a person's looks or our attraction to them...I've done it and it ended up costing me 1000's and sadness but in the end I don't blame the person...I blame myself...People's PAST is very relevant and if you ignore it or think it won't happen to you then the only person you're fooling is YOURSELF.
Still I find the subject facinating. :P
