I can relate - I am struggling to make a choice about telling someone that it just isn't working, and, I know it will break her precious heart. I know she would never make the choice, but it just isn't working, its very sad. About having someone else to paddle through life, I think a person should view another paddler in their boat as a temporary blessing.
