So, V-day is coming up and all, and I will go to a wedding on that very V-day. (Later I'll post a blog on that one). But, today I saw a list of the top 100 love songs of all times(as in slows)... So, was wondering what your top 5 ever was. I agreed, top 3 was pretty easy... 5 is harder.
Shall I begin?
1. Nothing else matters - Metallica 2. Don't speak - No Doubt 3. Tonight tonight- Smashing Pumpkins 4. Kiss from a rose - Seal 5. was a hard one, but I think Scorpions with sending me an angel
Hm, there are a few more, but they're just some more intimate, like Jeff Buckley with Hallelujah and Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin with Je t' aime, moi non plus ... .
Hm, slowing, hm, weddings ... hm... oh well I'll just see... what it gives.
Now post the songs on which u want to hold that special lady/ your hubby/... in your arms and against your chest. I'm not curious, just want to know. *coughs*

green man on my bum

Hm, where to begin.... since lately due to my own boredom and bad weather, I decided to join some kind of clan on a goth site (okay, also due to a friends' advice), because I didn't go out anymore and spent more time in front of my laptop than something else. Alarm bells started ringing, and I began to feel like a little butterfly trapped in a golden cage. So, this clan, actually meets each other once in a while, like monthly, and further, it works a bit like the blogs here. And tomorrow I'm gonna hop in. Back into social life. We're going to the movies (it will be something, people like turn heads if they see me on my own, and whisper behind my back, and now like 10 gothly creatures will be together with colorfull mohawks, corsets, ... . Oh, I'm so gonna like it if people stare. ^^)Invasion of goth at the theatres. Yey. And I soooooooooo need a real life hug... I so hope I can convince someone to give me one... It would cheer me up really. But seeing a guy who im chatting with like 2 years, I would be delighted to finally see him once in real life. Hope we still have so much in common. Darmn, it's just too cold to wear my purple velvet robe with the 'green man' (aka Bacchus/Dionysus, some say he's Pan, but I say the first two,due to grapes in his hair of vine leaves), right embroidered on my bum... and nice corset laces in the front. Sigh... hm, maybe just a warm sweater with loads of fasteners on my jeans... I was wearing that now anyway.
So wish me good times.

Stupid note but still... Those real English/British accents, gosh, really, that's so sexy. Some guys just talk like some kind of professor actually.
Hm, let's find such a guy, who can talk to me that way, until I fall asleep at night. Now that would be a goal to strife at for the year to come. Okay, okay, I'll find some other ones too.
Oh, happy holidays to all by the way.

song for the ones who feel a bit down ...

Wanted to share this with you all. The sounds of the song (no, it ain't very goth) always makes me happy... maybe does the same for u guys. Text is happy-sad.
About the singer
Gabriel Rios, born in Puerto Rico and moved to Belgium (he followed his former girlfriend). Here, he began art academy (and had classes my father teached) and soon came across our alternative rock scene (dEUS,...). A new world began to open for him, and he tried to create alternative music with Puerto Rican influences.
The song is written for Delphine (model and ex naked model of my dad's former class). I like the song, but the album before this one I liked more though.
Gabriel Rios- Angelhead
Pretty little demon Lets me call her Angelhead Sometimes when I see her She's lying next to me in bed We be there late at night She's saying nothing right She says it's all messed up and feels like giving it up Just giving up Just giving up
Peeking in the red Like we're squeezing 'till we dead Like there's nothing else instead But the bleeding 'till it's bled The TV's on the floor There's someone at the door The sun has just come up And me and little Angelhead keep making love A little love
I'm not ready for this world So let me be Goodnight Goodnight Angelhead
Goodnight Angelhead See you in the morning Got to keep believing Got to keep it going It's gonna be alright Just got to hold on tight It's gonna go on even if you really wanna make it stop It never does
'Cuz I'm a pagan You're a pagan Together well we get around We hear the same songs breaking the mind Dissing our kind Plus we feel love come from above And if the whole thing finally breaks we'll make it up Just make it up
I'm not ready for this world So let me be Goodnight Goodnight Angelhead
Who am I To keep this going Who are you To bring me down Good night Angelhead
(and something in spanish? He whispers it too fast to understand)
Other favorite singers of mine, and former students of my dad's classes:
Vive la fĂȘte (ex-naked model of my dad, pretty sexy singer, goes usually on stage barefeet, is a screamqueen, dresses on stage are customized by herself of aluminium foil etc..., and she makes a cute couple with the singer, best are their live performances)
k's choice (only one of them though, sarah's brother)
The actors of the movie Steve+Sky (filmed two streets behind my place, in the prostitution neighbourhood).
Soulwax/2manydj's/Dewaele brothers (not really my kind of music though)
Think I forgot a few.
Above all, I love how all of those people made their dreams come true. Hope mine and yours come true one day.

the whole purity/chastity/abstination thing

Sigh
I was looking for some purity rituals on the net.... (like in anti-toxines treatment).
I came across a video on the you and tube ... Those comments on the video so angered me.... The video was about 2 guys asking people in a street, which bottle of water they would choose. From one, they let 10 people drink, the other one wasn't opened yet. In the end they offered 5-10$ to people who would drink out of the opened bottle. Then the message came: wait with s*x after marriage. The text box stated: take to the streets to find out how important purity is, and we're only talking about water). How much more important should sexual purity be?
Sigh again. What has the one thing to do with the other ... but comments truely upset me.
I consider myself very lucky to live in Europe for this issue, and people here are a bit against the purity thing. But then again, true love waits, purelove and other catholic movements who promote this, are gaining in popularity here as well.
Also, to go in discussion with those people, or hear their arguments, isn't really possible, because they need to accept your comments before it is placed on the sites.
I really do have respect for people who will wait, if it comes out of their own (= not influenced by church, parents,...) Let's face it, it's a hard thing to do if u have a long relationship. But the message of the video (association)was so wrong, they should have asked people in streets how they think about waiting to have sex. All ages, men and woman. But they didn't. Then the site they referred to was lots worse. That u should help men getting rid of 'bad imagination' by dressing courteous and properly... that is a woman's responsability to mold men in gentlemen or a monster,.... (hello, i think they forget here about psychiatric issues).
Though, they are right at some points in my opinion.
Also, that whole chastity thing... I think it's a reaction, some rebel thing, to all we see in society and media (the 'hiphop',if u can u even call it that, with almost nude woman flirting who are willingly called 'b*tches' as a nickname, I mean, common?). Well, I can only encourage that as a nurse. Reminds me a bit of the straight edge movement (no alc, drugs or s*x without love, remember? ;p). But I haven't said the last word about this.
Some people have still very wrong ideas about chastity... let's help those out of the world first. I've heard: I won't get std's, my husband will stay with me forever because I was a virgin and therefore he values me more than other woman... then it's time to sit around the table again with those young adults in my opinion. Also, as a nurse, I have known one person, who like did all things (as in very extreme), but no common s*x, ... and considered herself as a virgin. Let's just hope parents try to give good examples and guide young people. Talking about partners and relationships is still a big taboo, it's a bit uncomfortable, but really, it's needed. Try to share your values and norms. Admit your own mistakes you've made (before they hear it from someone else) or why you should do something else instead if u had the chance. And mostly, don't forget to tell once in a while, you love 'em.
End of my rant.

Hi everyone,
Sometimes you just surf on the www and then, out of the blue, you stumble upon some amazing websites. When I was a very young 'goth' I'd love to see pictures of dark princes and princesses, but unfortunately, due to nature disasters and studies/work or other reasons they couldn't be hosted anymore. Too bad, those ragdoll girls with dreads and piercings/tat's were such cuties, and gothboy of the month was erm... mostly very breathtaking in a good way. But now.... have found another one, when I googled some if the above mentioned sites still existed. Found a blogsite (usually hate them) about how goths can survive in hot weather trying to keep their stylish clothing on.... Mostly the blog exists of pictures and comments given on them, with the host who tries to add a funny comment.
Quick, hurry: where are those pictures of Noodles with flipflops on in Disneyworld?
Best picture was of the guy with a parasol with coffins on it :)But his parasol was... well look for yourself. Oh, the goth posse at macs was hilarious too.
The guy has some nice links on his blog: how to dance as a goth (complete tutorial haha), and some gothic-charm-manners website (found couple links on the last one with yummy yummy clothing, but far too expensive though... and I like to feel fabrics and stuff, and see it with my eyes before I buy something. Actually: I've never bought something of the internet). I've send her an online webshopadress for petty(coats) back... .
Oh: some pretty hot girls in there too, one of the hottest had a pink mohawk.
hug to you all

how you can discover nice things easily...

Nice,
Today I was cruising on the internet, and mostly blog sites with a profile of the user, and d*mn, thanks to that, I discovered 3 nice songs that gave me shivers/goosebumps, really. I just couldn't stop listening to them. And by looking up the band from the blog user's mediaplayer, I discovered even more nice songs. Tree times hooray for the internet and for getting the chance to meet interesting people and discover new things.
Or how music can move you.
Hurt (nine inch nails cover) - Johny Cash (gosh, those lyrics)
NIN- A warm place (normally I don't really like NIN, but this was also beautiful, in a slightly haunting way).
Carly Comando - Everyday (such a sad song) and Bear. She's like Wim Mertens and Yann Tiersen, that profound, (They're truely a new air of breathe amongst composers)... enough to make me want to discover more instrumental/classic music. Oh btw... I never forgot Dance Macabre by Camille Saint-Saens in the haunted house in one of netherlands theme parks in Tilburg(and the very nice show of zombies crowling out of their graves ;p and me nagging: I want to go again mommy, I want to go again, btw: my nagging was denied). Oh the childhood, such nice memories... well not all ... :)
So, maybe in the next few days, a bit more cruising... I wonder what I'll find then...
Hug to you all

Ever did it?
Looking former classmates up? Well, I'm that stupid to have done that today. Just out of curiosity: what happened to the people that shared classrooms with me? What do they do now, as a job? How do they look like now? Are they married? ... Even though you weren't good friends with them, or even, to look how your former enemies are doing.
Hm... well I did it. Of some people I was not quite sure... loads of people share the same names and surnames. But some things completely shocked me. One of the people I really disliked is married now, well, in history she was a pathologic liar, so maybe she still is, and it ain't true. Some people are so changed in appearance, almost unrecognizable, which moved me... but on the other hand, some stayed the same, what also amazed me. (I'm easily to amaze) Some I couldn't track... Too bad I thought. And if I put my own name in, there are't much connections or none either.
But then, a thing striked me... At a sudden moment, I came across a newspaper article, from 15 june 2009, when I typed in the name of a former classmate. She was doing her second master, had found a job allready, and was about to graduate, when she died. What did she died from? A passion drama: her ex-boyfriend, who couldn't cope with the fact that she left him years ago, and started a new life with someone else shot her and then tried to kill himself. He succeeded in both, after a couple of days went by.
Damn I think. Like I do think alot. (Some people say I do think too much, and others say, I must think more, so well, I'm in balance I suppose...or maybe I am not) Some people want to die actually, but don't, and people who don't want to die, or don't expect it, do... :( And people like her, who coped with alot of misery with a big M in their lives, always found the faith and courage to begin over from scratch... who do loads of things for other people, deserve to finally have some luck in life... but no... . Some people who don't deserve anything, get some instead. Sometimes that thought so frustrates me.
Okay, maybe that person who said I'm a fatalist, is kind of right. But then again, I think everyone is a bit of a fatalist somehow, in a certain way. I just think alot about death, and some people can't cope with the fact that I do... so annoying. But I don't really believe totally in destiny, you can make changes to what u want, but some things you can't change... Well, it's just my humble opinion. Jee, I'll have to change that quote of mine that I always use: quocumque trahunt fato, sequamur: let us follow our destiny, wherever it takes us. Think it never was really one that fits me... but then again, oneliners like that, always half true, and half false.
Oh well... Valerie, wherever you are: R.I.P. ...I hope U haven't suffered much, those last days of yours. And hopefully you had the opportunity to fulfill some of your dreams. Gonna burn a candle for her, and think about the fun moments we shared in history.
I'm quitting here, because I start nagging again ...
Just wat to add: hug your loved ones some more, and let them know you care about them, because before you know, it can be over. (okay, now I really shut up)

... to be Belgian
We have a lot of talent in this little country, when it comes to alternative music... Maybe you heard about some bands, because some toured in Europe, USA,... .
BK= best known song MF= my favourite
Punk
The Kids: since '77 (first Belgian punk band, now they're on a reunion tour):
BK: There will be no next time. MF: Bloody bloody belgium and no work
Check out their first television appearance.... ;p (fun, nostalgy)
Funeral dress: H*ll yeah, if this doesn't make you happy, I don't know ;p... and voted on nr. 5 in UK in the category best international punk bands (they're playing since the late '80s) and it's my favorite Belgian Punk band.
BK: freedom and liberty party on
MF: I'm in love with oi holiday Hello from the underground ...
Red Zebra (post-)punk/rock: also around since well.... a very long time (in 1980 first album was released).
Not really Belgian, but hey, they're our neighbours ^^:
Heideroosjes (the Nether Lands): mostly Dutch punk with hilarious lyrics, but they have some English songs as well: MF: psycho
Metal:
sludge-core/doom-metal,..., but best way to describe them is experimental metal :
Amen Ra: They have very nice artwork (photography), and their websites are pearls ... the lyrics are very dark beautiful poems... (you can look for yourself on their sites). That's why I appreciate them. The music has something of Tool in it, as well as their videos, but still it ain't quite Tool... it's like very dark music to meditate on, before the singer starts to grunt/scream (I sometimes fast forward through some parts).
Doom Metal:
Officium Triste (also from NL): MF: the pathway and my charcoal heart
I don't know much other good Belgian metal bands, that aren't split up yet. So, enlighten me, if you know some nice ones.
We have also great rockbands,... those are for another time... if someone's interested in those. But guess most people will know those allready.

Didn't I said it? Again 3 escaped from Belgian prison...
|

This one is for Noodles: remember I said yesterday that allready 8 persons escaped from Belgian prisons this vacation? And that I said the vacation was not over yet? Well... Today 3 more took a break from prison life. Hm, at the first 6 I laughed... it was that funny. It was like prison break in real life (no, I don't watch it, but my mother did): the first 3 escaped via a helicopter when they had their daily walk. They left one compagnion behind, who wasn't in the prison before. The second wave escaped via a ladder (from construction workers). The mother of one of them was waiting inside in her car, waiting to help them flee. Again 3 escaped today. True maffia style: we undo prisoners from their handcuffs/restrains, when they are in the court room for their trial. For their dignity for some reason. Well, I wonder where their dignity was in the first place when they put a Kalasjnikov under the nose of a 3 year old, during that homejacking. When the cuffs were off, two compagnions with kalasjnikovs entered the court room, and threatened everyone ...and they got away... 5 guards were in the court room, but they haven't got weapons, except for a spray... poor guys. Also for the transportation from prison to the court room, they are not armed. Most escapes here happen this way. Because the trip from prison to the court house can take really long. The guards are striking since the third incident. Well, the joke I hear the most these days is that the overpopulation of our prison solves itself this way. In a cell where normally maximum 2 can be, are 4 or more. Loads of prisons have problems with hygiene. On the other hand, when I visited prison once with the class, they said: we treat them well, they get a 5 dish menu for christmas evening... and stuff like that. They can buy extra food ... 3 different brands of butter are on the list, 8 brands of cigarettes, chocolates (and if it's not on the list they can ask for their brand),... etc. from the prison shop. They also get a choice for their drinks with dinner. They seemed proud of it to serve lobster soup for christmas... I was like, omg. Lobster soup... . Some normal families can't even afford a 5 dish menu (or lobster soup), even for christmas. Also, some have computers, personal playstations, televisions in their cells (even pedophiles who were also serial killers), prisons have a true fitness room with modern equipment, people can start education there for free, there's a library and some prisons have an olympic swimming pool for the inmates. But guards in prisons have no guns... well, they have, but not armed. Hm, if u ask me... it's not as bad as prisons in muslim countries or Eastern Europe, and that's just the place where most of them come from. (statistics say that). They all just get too much privileges in my opinion. Pff, and then our minister of defense has come to an agreement with USA: to let some prisoners of Guantanamo come over to our prisons... why? Not that they are Belgian? And we allready lack place in prison. I don't know if they're not really guilty or not, but if they get free they'll probably ask to stay in our country, because they are in danger in theirs, and gosh, really... from those 25 who come over, maybe minimum one terrorist/accomplice will be amongst them. We have allready enough terrorists of our own allready, no need to get some more. So really, we need some change here. Metal detectors in court room entrances could be one .... everyone can enter one without being asked who you are, and without being checked out. And better equipment/education for the guards... even if they don't want to arm them with real bullets (like it is the case now) they maybe can do with those guns who shoot rubber balls. They can hurt alot as well. But really, our prison system, it is becoming a true disgrace now. Our tour guide in prison also said that people who commited crimes repeatedly with 3 month (to six months sometimes) prison as sentence for each, will never do their time in prison, since we're just too overpopulated. So, they just can return to their homes. But I wasn't surprised by that. But I must say, there's some progress. 1 of the 8, one of the bank robbers (they allready comitted 4 armed bank robberies since they're free) is allready put back. Now the rest. ;p... Gogo... ^^

the most bizarre thing you saw on online auction sites?

Well, I'd like to hear your stories. Ever bought something second-hand via an online shop or auction sites?
What's the strangest/most bizarre thing you bought? Or sold? Or what's the strangest thing you saw, that was being sold? I'd like to know...
I start....
What made me decide to start this post is that I read on the web that the refrigerator of Dahmer was sold on an auction site....Yes, the one where he held his chopped of body parts (officers found a head in there). Oh, the ex CEO of e-bay has a word for such items: murderabilia (also include nazi memorabilia and autopsy photos)
Second strangest was a fetish: a waxstrip with vaginal hair of a porn star. (It's something else than selling used knickers)
Those girls who sold their virginity well... that was pretty awkward as well... well, in my opinion.
Can anyone do better?

nostalgic and dreamy romantic love letters

Gosh. How I forgot how it used to be. It's like im an elder person now...lol I used to have pen pals where I wrote letters to, who where each 14 pages long. Small flirtations included. :) And contained like 6 P.s.'s each ^^How fun that was. ;p (that was before the period begon, we were kind of late on communication technology). Hm, being 16, where is the time.
Also, I kept all those (pen pal) letters and love letters that I got... and my precious diary and some love poems that I wrote in seperate boxes. I open them once a year, or even less. This time I really forgot what they actually wrote, so started to read them all over again.
When I opened the box, I was pleased to smell again the parfum of my ex-boyfriends first and last perfumed love letter. Back in time, he sprinkled a whole bottle over it, and it stank that much... that my mother asked to lay the letter outside the house for some days, since the hole house was smelling like a heavy sweet bark. ;p (I ignored her though)
So fun, to read them all over, that one ex boyfriend told me like all his emotions and actually that was soooo cute. ^^ Oh yeah, I remember the uncertainty of being 16 and asking if that boy was feeling a thing for me or not... asking and giving friends advice, and being tossed on a rollercoaster of emotions.^^ Hm, where is the time? Hehe... funny that the memories come back: you're always dressed weird and special, Tim said once, but I just like that about you, because it makes you different then the rest out there. ;p You don't care about what others think of you... . Other people said that too: oh my, i wouldn't dare to wear such red shoes like you... I love them, but I'm afraid what the others will think about me. I was thinking: you dye your hair in black, but u don't dare to wear red shoes? lol And a few years ago I entered the school cafetaria with my best friend, all heads turned towards me... my friend asked why can't u just wear something normal for once lol. Everyone is looking. For christ sake, they don't have a clue of what they see, I responded, they just all wear the same: Scapa and Hilfiger. But I'm not one of those people who follows the flock... . And entered the cafetaria with my head high, and sweeping with my woolen tunique, which was like a fairy dress. Nicely flowing over my body. Ha, eat that. :)
Hm, but the love letters: I remember that I didn't kept all e-mails, because at some day he started to send me 40 e-cards with love poems each day lol... I couldn't even read them all... ^^ At the time I began to become annoyed by all those poems lol. But I kept all with personal messages. Skipped those with those honey-sweet premade bad peoms. But how nice it was: a boy who actually could show his feelings, and was analyzing it all the way through, and best of all: was sharing it with me... . ;p
Next memory: My lips were swollen like ...(I don't know why, only had it twice with him after that) from kissing him. And they were nicely burning... ^^ And after my parents picked me up they said: next time you may kiss less, you think you could hide that, could you? Oops lol, I had an icecream to lower the effects, apparently it didn't worked. lol I laughed all the time during that relationship. lol. I was glowing. He was so funny... and he had the same thoughts on me (not much people appreciate my very dry sarcastic humor). How innocent we were back then. And I never forget when we first met... He jumped of the train, while his friend was going a bit further to see his gf, my best friend back then. I felt sorry for the guy, being dragged in to be a chaperon for his friend, so I was going to show him the town and stuff. I was waiting on a bench. He entered. He asked: are u (my name). Yes, I said, Then he did a little jump while he said: woohoo! lol... I thought he was crazy back then lol.
Well, I hope that I find such a boy once again. Do i have regrets of breaking up? No, not at all. It was good for as long it lasted. So, by this... but he knows: Tim, thanks for all the nice, funny, cute, warm moments that we had together, thanks for trying to understand and help me, for as long as it lasted. Too bad we couldn't stay close friends. You rock, although I think you're far too skinny now. ;p

Fashion colors: winered, black and I think... hm... sorry I forgot. ^^ (think grey)I'm usually not following fashion, but hey, for once that sounds good... I like red and black... Time to fill up my closet... saw allready an artsy tunique... although... Small size was off course sold out. :( cry... )... I always dreamed of making my own clothing... but maybe I'll just follow a course in a year or so, how to sew and to drawn patterns. Cause I have some things in mind, models that I want, but usually I don't see them in the shops, when i'm passing by occasionally. First thing is: follow some courses to make silver jewelry with old mineral stones. I'm also on a hunt for silver rings that cover a hole finger... I love long large rings. ;p

need some help to figure out what horror movie it was again

Some years ago, I saw the beginning of a horror movie of a haunted house. Think I saw almost all haunted houses movies, although, most are a bit dready though. But after all these years, I can't figure out anymore, what the movie was called. It looked like one of the better kind. Think it was a movie from date late '90s-2003. And the beginning goes like this: couple moves to the haunted house, after their boy died (choked because a bee was stuck in his throat)... after that numbers begin to appear on the mirror in the bathroom etc... you have ...days to live... Anyone has an idea of which one i'm looking for? tried some search engines, but they haven't been much of a help to me. ;p So, horror-haunted house-movie fans, please help me... would be appreciated. ;p

clouds of parfum, eau de toilette and aftershave

Gosh.... I don't know why, but I think I'm terribly allergic to parfum etc. I hate to smell a breeze of chemicals passing by, that try to be equal the smell of wild flowers. And that people can even think they smell good, while they actually stink. unbelievable. ^^ Today I clearly stated at my mother that I wondered why there where still flies in the kitchen, when that perfume of hers (repeatedly sprayed on her dress to capture the smell into it so everyone smells it on a wedding monday), even smelled worse then the pesticides she uses to kill 'em. Even saying it was worse then the smell of dying rotting flowers couldn't even convince her to stop her on her spraying spree. ^^ (So I'll be tortured again for another 1 day and a half, ;p) I usually hate perfume... (especially very heavy ones, although I kind of like patchouli and some essential oils, what's bizarre)and all rest... I just think people use it too much... I hate it when I get a visitor and his aftershave still hangs in the room the day after, 'cause when it fades, the smell just gets worse. ;p So to all the people out there and especially the boys: don't use the whole bottle, spraying once, is more then enough... Especially when it's hot it keeps hanging in a cloud around you. A cloud that makes me sometimes sneeze, if it's too bad. I like natural pheromones best ... and that are the ones that make U appealing to someone. ;p I don't know how the synthetic ones are (look at Liquid Trust on the internet)lol, So, except for a little deodorant, please banish perfumes... maybe better for nature and ozon layers and whatever too ^^. Or just, use it right... at a minimum... Okay... I know I'm nagging, I'll quit now. ^^
