It is natural for human beings to gossip and judge others, just as it is normal for us to feel. I must say that I highly dislike, or even hate, people who are like that, even though it does mean that I hate myself in a way.
The human being within us is faced with a lot of problems which we deal with on a daily basis. The only escape which we get is the fact that other people may have it worse of then us. A friend who's partner broke up with them, or a neightbour who is going through a divorce. It is only human to think, my life is okay because someone else has it worse off then me.
This means that gossip and judgement are not going to disappear out of our society and this is one of the main, in my opinion, flaws within the creation of a human being. Saying that the way in which we judge the people within our society is different to everyone and the only common link is the fact that we are all put into stereotypes.

People who want to fit in often gossip about others. If someone is confident within themselves they wont gossip or back stab on their friends. Personally, I am not into winning brownie points from people by siding with the back stabbers. I'd rather not have anything to do with those people at all, because in the end, they are all destructive. What is the point of having a friend who blabs behind your back? I say no friend to them.
