Got a recipe for a drink you can try

I know I haven't posted for a bit. I tend to be a recluse. As promised from the title here's that recipe. I call this questionable concoction.....
"Bite o the grape"
In a drinking glass add,
1 teaspoon coffee,
2 tablespoons grape jelly,
1/2 cup boiling water(has to be boiling or the jelly doesn't melt).
I use a metal wisk to stir it up proper. However a long handled spoon will work. Add milk if you prefer(and I do). Maybe add more water to get a full glass. Consume with caution. The taste is a little.......Different. And yes, I was really bored to resort to trying this. lol.

There's only forward
The past is Seer....Accuser
Tread the land
Don't turn around
The beast...It gains
Tread the land
These steps push earth
Does Earth push us.....away?

Ok. I finally made the gut check and posted a profile pic. The first one is a bit dark. However I enhanced a second copy of the picture and uploaded it. When I straighten out my computer(the system registry has been fragged for a month). My comp won't even read my camera. Ha ha. I plan to upload better pics. Hopefully the current ones will suffice. So...This is me.

Got bored and had this thought running round my brain. Say for the sake of argument it's the "End of Days". Fill in the cause with your favorite apocalypse, dinosaur killing asteroid, or rabid otters from space. For whatever reason you dragged your sofa outside to watch the once in a lifetime spectacle. What would be your drink of choice?
Guess I'll start of with my pick. Rum.

My second poem. It's a little sad. Hope you enjoy.
Rise at the dawn
A sad task to do
Away from the land
Lay the bones covered with dew
The story they tell
Of a cause found and lost
Who then counts the cost?
Their spirits rode high
They looked death in the eye
It was not enough
So I count the cost
For those that are lost
Farewell......
I intend to write more in future.

This is my first blog item for today. I'm a bit lazy so I might not get around to daily entries.
At the time I write this the rain outside begins to fall.
The rain, giver of life
that cleanses the land
bringing fresh growth
each droplet alone a gentle touch
The rain, taker of life
now rain has pollutants
scouring the plains
poisoning an eagle in the soaked sky
The rain, .............
wheeling one last time to plummet
yet the storm still is comforting
the tears of heaven
Hope I haven't bored anyone with my lame attempt at poetry. To those who read and enjoyed my work, thank you for your time.
